My Life as a TikTok Influencer-

We went advertising for our English class at  a market here in Bangkhen. That’s when one of the shopkeepers we met last week showed us that she had taken a short video of us and put it on TikTok…. And it had over 130K likes now. She made another TikTok of us talking about our English Class and yesterday night we could tell it was blowing up. We would get one message and before we could respond to it we had gotten several more. We spent over three hours just trying to respond to everyone who reached out to us and we weren’t able to finish. This morning when we woke up we had nearly 400 unread messages all from people interested in learning English. We got someone to check on how many times  the TikToks of us were viewed. The first one of us was at 1.6M views! To put that in perspective that is about 2% of Thailand’s populous. We had members from my old areas and people we’re teaching sending us screenshots of us on TikTok with a caption like “You’re famous now!!!” It’s exciting (and a little scary). Now we’re working with the APs to figure out how we’re going to respond to all these people reaching out to us.
Until Next Time,
